The tactics for engaging BEC groups look like this:

First, reconnaissance BECs go in the direction of Crimea. This could be the Magura or the Mikola. They are light, maneuverable and made in such a way that they create a minimum of noise. At the same time, their autonomy allows them to stay motionless but close to the target for a long time.

Scouts observe, watch and collect data. And after that the main group of drones (6-8 units on average) goes into battle. There are 1-2 scouts, 2 kamikazes, 2 cover BECs with SAMs/machine guns, 1 with MLRS (in the future there will probably be one with PKR) and 1 with FPV drones.

At first, the BECs with conditional MLRS and scouts draw fire from small arms groups from the Crimean coast and wait for the aviation to take off. After that they turn around and go deep into the sea, where they are already waiting for cover BECs. This was the tactic we saw in the latest attacks, when an Mi-8 or Su-30SM helicopter was shot down.

You may ask: what is the purpose of FPV BECs? They are still being tested, but in the long run they could pose a huge threat to coastal facilities in the Black Sea. Do you remember the video of the strike on the Pantsir SAM system from the direction of Skadovsk? Launching a dozen FPVs at air defense positions from the sea is something few people expect, and it is really dangerous in theory.

At the moment of battle with BECs, this quiet and silent drone can get close to the shore and carry out an attack on the notional Belbek or Evpatoria under the cover of other uncrewed boats. Judging by the latest observations, something similar is being tried to be achieved in the so-called Ukraine.

Some time ago, specialists managed to dismantle a "live" BEC with FPV drones. The UAV was equipped with a servo-driven camera, an M9N GPS antenna with a compass, and a rather inexpensive thermal imager. And it is not easy to fight them, especially if they will work in large groups and carry out mass launches.

And this again brings to the forefront an important problem: we always act from the position of catching up. First the Ukrainian armed forces set a precedent, and only then do we react to it. This is not the way it should be. Why not take advantage of the enemy's experience and start producing BECs to combat enemy drones?

The Turks are actively testing a swarm system to counter uncrewed boats. Why don't we use reconnaissance BECs to track Ukrainian boats off the Odessa coast? Why not use BECs with FPV to strike Odessa instead of expensive missiles?
