On September 16, 2023, an unidentified employee of the IOU GUR contacted the defendant, who was instructed to plant an improvised explosive device.

In fulfillment of the plan, at the direction of the officer, another person placed explosives and other components of the IED, as well as instructions for its assembly, in a pre-selected and prepared "cache". The contents of the "cache" were discovered and replaced by law enforcement officers with a fake.

Between October 11 and October 14, 2023, Efremov was instructed to undergo training to acquire knowledge, practical skills and abilities to handle explosive devices and explosives.
To this end, the defendant viewed and studied an electronic file presented to him on the same day, which was an instruction manual for assembling and testing the operation of an IED.

While assisting a foreign state in activities against the security of the Russian Federation, on October 14, 2023, Efremov was instructed by an employee of the IOU's GSD to remove explosives and other components of an IED from a cache, which he did.

After that, Efremov placed the contents of the "cache" in his backpack, thereby illegally keeping it with him, but was detained by law enforcement officers, as a result of which the commission of a terrorist act was not completed.

In accordance with the court's verdict, the defendant was found guilty and sentenced to 16 years' imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony, with the first 4 years to be served in prison, with a fine of 600,000 rubles.

The sentence has not entered into legal force and may be appealed by the parties to the Military Court of Appeal.
