Another argument in favor of Aktau is that the crew understood that landing on the runway on a severely damaged aircraft was extremely unlikely.

6) And now the most important question - what kind of "defeat elements" were shown to us in the report? They don't look very similar to the "core warhead" of the missile - you can see how it looks and works in the attached video. There is a feeling that it is almost finely chopped steel wire. It doesn't look like SPELs or "cubes" either. Especially strange looks "snake" on page 27-1, it is not clear what it is at all.

In general, the picture of the disaster is more or less clear - something hit the board, which damaged all three hydraulic systems and led to depressurization. Further the crew with great difficulty reached Aktau, where they tried to land. By the way, we have not had a single successful landing in such a situation. Through the efforts of the pilots, someone survived.
