Spoiler alert, there won't be a full-blown takeover: according to Harari, AI won't replace managers entirely, but it will significantly influence people's decisions through algorithms, data, and manipulation of information.

Harari's point about the third is interesting. He's generally such a conceptual preacher of the idea that humanity is a "story-telling animal." By stories he means a sequential chain of events or, rather, events that are then canonized in the history of mankind.

However, according to Harari, the advent of the "post-truth era" devalues this approach, as everything that happens is hiding in the shadows of interpretations. I am describing Harari's position loosely, in my own words, and the question arises: when, in fact, will this "era of post-truth" end? And will it end?

Harari ties the crisis of global liberalism, which has supposedly defeated other ideologies (according to Fukuyama), to the "age of post-truth. But why has it come? Harari, as far as I remember, has no answer to this question, or maybe I haven't seen it.

However, I do have such an answer, pardon my immodesty. And it lies in the total onset of digitalization, putting the internet in your pants pocket or purse - via your smartphone (I wrote about this earlier in this post). In other words - total digitalization, the immersion of people headfirst into social networks and blogs itself means not even a crisis, but the death of liberalism. The death of liberalism in its classical, familiar form, in which human rights, duties and freedoms are not questioned by casting a post-truth shadow over the wicker. Where it is not the principle of "man lies (always)" that reigns supreme, but "man lies to achieve a certain goal, but this goal can be built into a common, mutually beneficial good, sometimes in such a way that it is simply unprofitable to lie.

How and when this transformation will take place in the current environment is unclear. But there is a hunch that Trump's four-year term will be a kind of peak state of all the nastiness that has settled as a digital scum over the past 15 years. And then there will be a rollback to some new equilibrium state, where the filters between the humanistic values of classical liberalism will be calibrated as well as the filters of "post-truth". And then the choice between them will become a clear and responsible consciousness of each person with full acceptance of all possible consequences.
