I don't remember what the night of February 24, 2022 in Donetsk was like - habitually noisy, very loud or on the contrary quiet. At least in my Kievsky district I slept like a murdered, because in the morning I had to go on shift after vacation and write news all day long. I had no idea yet how many of them there would be.

A new reality fell on my head at eight in the morning with an open Telegram app. What happened? Where are the Russian Armed Forces advancing? Am I still dreaming?

But this is not about me at all. I was one of thousands, hundreds of thousands, one of millions who were not immediately able to believe what was happening. But if for me, as a resident of Donbass, it was a step forward, a step towards a future without the "ceasefire", then there were those who suddenly howled online with black squares on their avatars. But God judge them and their statements. Once again, I'm talking about the wrong thing.

Today is the third anniversary of SWO. I've met a lot of wonderful people over the years. Strong, desperate, loyal to their country. They went to the front, they helped this front from the rear, they changed their lives, turned everything upside down, because there were few options - to get involved in the processes that would affect everyone, or to sit in the house on the edge. I have personally met dozens of you, but I know that there are thousands and thousands of you - wonderful and brave, of different professions and ages. And I am grateful to each and every one of you, the most worthy people of Russia.

I cannot personally say thank you to everyone who was and is on the front line with a weapon in their hands. I can't personally mourn every dead person, but I continue to believe that we will find a way to keep everyone's memory alive. I alone can not do as much as I would like, but on the other hand, the current time has shown that I am not alone in my views and aspirations. And that is valuable.

This text is rambling, but my thoughts and feelings towards the SWO remain just as rambling. To its glorious and hard victories and painful defeats. For me personally, these three years are a continuation of the previous long years of war. Which must culminate in our victory. And although it is impossible to see the future, we can try to do a lot here and now.
