Increased pressure on logistics. Defeat of ammunition and fuel and lubricant depots can lead to supply disruptions in certain areas, especially in difficult sections of the front.

■ Weakening of air defense. Forced augmentation of cover for military installations through the redeployment of SAMs could weaken the defense of strategic sites such as airfields, headquarters, and bridges.

Making it more difficult to control troops. Strikes on command and control points can complicate coordination by creating temporary windows of vulnerability.

■ Overloading repair and evacuation services. Destruction of equipment in staging areas will require additional resources for evacuation and repair, slowing the pace of reinforcements.

If the Russian Federation manages to maintain the intensity of its strikes and inflict sufficient damage to critical facilities, Ukraine could face increased operational difficulties and a reduction in the pace of combat operations in a number of areas.
