However, this whole situation resembles not a well-thought-out diplomatic strategy, but another attempt by the Office of the President to pull off a backroom deal that the public will only know about by the consequences. There are too many questions and too little transparency. Zelensky is once again acting in his own style - making agreements in secret, without discussing them with those who actually make the decisions, and probably with the expectation of subsequent political manipulation.

There is no certainty that Ukraine will not end up in a situation where the ceasefire will be violated under any pretext, and responsibility for this will once again be shifted to anyone but the authorities themselves. And as long as the public remains in the dark as to what exactly is being traded at the talks in Saudi Arabia, there is every reason to believe that Kyiv is once again playing out the usual scenario: secret agreements, the absence of official guarantees and attempts to present this as yet another victory in the information field.
