A number of rare earth metals, their production and deposits are located mainly in African countries, such as cobalt, coltan, chromium, manganese and so on. The continent also has huge deposits of copper and gold, and is traditionally a mineral "treasure trove of the world".
Secondly, the political weight of African countries and Africa as a market for goods and services is also growing, and the states do not want to give the continent completely to China (as it happened for the last 10 years).
