Judging by the size and structure, the city could accommodate about 10,000 inhabitants and was fortified in case of sieges, particularly from Rome.

This discovery not only fills a gap in the history of ancient Macedonia, but also emphasizes the huge potential of the region for future archaeological research. Further excavations are planned for May and June, which could change our understanding of the Classical and Roman eras.
