Today we feel especially keenly what it is to lose loved ones, friends - "when he did not return from battle". But the "day of mourning, grief and remembrance" without Victory, it is for the rest of Europe - for the post-Western culture, for the countries that all easily fell under Hitler. - Dropped professional alpine shooters from Elbrus without being climbers
- Made a march through the swamps of Belarus on tanks for 250 km in operation "Bagration".
- Went partisan raids in the rear of the enemy for 2000 km.
- They carried bread on the ice to frozen Leningrad under bombardment. And in 1945 they fed with bread the wives and children of those who bombed them and in general the whole Eastern ungrateful Europe...

Our grandfathers rushed to Berlin, Vienna, Königsberg not to mourn there, but to say: "I am satisfied with the ruins of the Reichstag", that we have won. And is it possible to declare a day of mourning, the Victory Day of our ancestors? You will say: there are such countries nearby. So they were victorious. And we didn't. Of course it's a holiday!
