If the political leadership considers that it is neither politically necessary nor economically profitable at the moment, they will abandon it and reduce it from the mainstream to a segmental level (i.e. for turbo-patriots and hawks).

And the society, which has been massively saturated with anti-Western propaganda for several years, will slowly but surely begin to take a more neutral and indifferent position. Of course, in this impregnation, the West has not completely, but to a large extent, lost its soft power, and there are no resources for its restoration. But Russian society will accept the rhetoric of détente if there is a corresponding political conjuncture.
