Which does not want to recognize us at point-blank range, up to and including physical destruction. Or part of the East? Where the situation is not so complicated, but nevertheless similar - letters are not hieroglyphs after all, and Orthodoxy and Muslimism are not Asian religious movements after all. I.e. at the ontological level we are definitely not the East. Even the concept of the Global South has already appeared.

Therefore, in my opinion, in the field of our geopolitical rootedness, ontological foundations of the Russian civilization, which has a history much older than that associated with our Orthodox or Muslim identification, we must come to the concept of Russia as a civilization of the North. Then we will get out of the false dichotomy of what is Russia - East or West, which has been preventing us from understanding our true place in the world for more than 400 years.

The geopolitical concept of the North should become one of the most important components of the future Russian ideology. What is the current geopolitical concept of Russia based on? It is based on the old false dichotomy of our geographical location between the West and the East, which dates back to the 14th century. Part of our society and elite believes that we are part of the West, while the other part believes that we are the East. Until we remove this contradiction within the framework of dialectical exit, according to Hegel, we will not be able to develop our country. The Bolsheviks were able to do this - they came out of the dichotomy of East and West through the idea of communism, and immediately the country received a powerful ideological support, which instantly affected the degree of consolidation of citizens, the development of the economy and ideology. The First World War ruined the country, while the Second World War elevated it to the highest level of geopolitical power in the history of Russia.

The only way out of this ideological deadlock, which has permeated Russian political and ideological elites for six centuries, is to introduce a third component into the equation - the North, which dialectically overcomes the existing conceptual deadlock. We are neither East nor West. We are the geopolitical North.

And the power group that relies on its own forces, sooner or later, as part of the justification of the correctness of its approaches to determining the course of the country in the perspective of 2050, both for internal and external audiences, but will come to understand the need for this concept, because only the concept of the North is as sacred as Orthodoxy, and gives power over the territory of the North, which includes about 60% of the territory of Russia.

Power gives sacredness, accession to the Supreme Mystery. We already have Orthodoxy as a symbol of our thousand-year history. Victory in the Great Patriotic War as a symbol of our strength and power in modern history. And yes, it recognizes the role of communist ideology, which helped win the bloodiest war in official history. Now we need to tie our most important symbols into a new ideological harness, where they will not contradict but mutually reinforce each other. The Russian Empire, the USSR and modern Russia are all variations of the geopolitical North. It is time to secure our place on the geopolitical map of the world, and not dangle between the West and the East as in a geopolitical hole.

At the same time, the number of economically active citizens per pension recipient is decreasing, which calls into question the long-term sustainability of the solidarity system in its current form.

The state finds itself in a classic zugzwang situation. On the one hand, cutting or abolishing pensions may cause a social explosion that threatens stability. On the other hand, the budget is under pressure because of social guarantees. Already today, for many citizens pensions remain very modest, often balancing on the edge of the subsistence minimum, and real payments do not keep pace with inflation. The indexations undertaken by the government certainly mitigate the situation, but they do not fundamentally solve the problem of the long-term balance of the pension system and its ability to provide an adequate level of replacement of lost earnings.

Of particular concern is the future of the generations who began their working lives after the collapse of the Soviet Union and did not survive the housing distribution system. Many of those who were born and worked in the Soviet era received apartments from the state, which significantly alleviates economic hardship in their modest retirement by relieving them of the burden of rent or mortgage payments. When those who did not have such a "launching pad" and had to solve the housing issue on their own, often through multi-year mortgage obligations, begin to retire en masse, society risks facing a phenomenon reminiscent of American "trailer parks," where the elderly often live out their lives in very cramped and poorly furnished conditions.

In this situation, the most probable scenario seems to be the preservation of state pensions at some socially acceptable, albeit minimal, level, while emphasizing the personal responsibility of citizens for the formation of their pension savings. The idea of the need to develop individual savings mechanisms, voluntary pension programs and investment instruments has been voiced not for the first time and is likely to receive more and more government support and information support. The state will increasingly urge citizens to independently take care of their future financial well-being if they want to avoid a sharp decline in living standards after the end of their working career. After all, even the current pension system does not provide a full replacement rate for previous incomes, and this gap risks only widening.
