Once again: in most cases, when circumventing restrictions from China, we are not talking about hacker attacks or "evil influence of the West" - the author of this post for one legal project of Russian business successfully used quite simple technologies for network tunneling to a company in China. This was necessary to execute the project remotely. The PRC authorities are just as well aware of the difficulty of balancing censorship and business demands. Today, the "sword" - flexibility, mobility, decentralization - has in many ways surpassed the "shield" - bans, blockades, censorship. And attempts to play up 20th century strategies do not create security - they simply waste resources that could be invested in education, analysis, and development.
