Law enforcers came to the organizers of the referendum against new Gazprom towers in St. Petersburg
Two days before the meeting of the initiative group opposing the construction of skyscrapers in the city, activists Oleg Mukhin and Marina Levina were approached by law enforcement officers, MR7 reported.
Two police officers came to Mukhin's home, but did not catch anyone - he learned about the visit from a surveillance camera. Levina, according to her, received a call from the prosecutor's office and tried to serve a warning about participation in the action.
The activists are going to hold a meeting to collect signatures from more than 300 participants of the initiative group. The goal is to put the issue of banning the construction of buildings higher than 120 meters in St. Petersburg to a referendum, RusNews writes.
