On March 1, 1943 he published a handwritten leaflet "Proclamation to the workers of Sevastopol", which ended with the words:

Soon the first issue of the underground newspaper "For the Motherland" was published. The underground printing house was located in the house No. 46 on Laboratornoye highway - under the kitchen floor in Revyakin's house. The newspaper became an important tool in the struggle against the occupants.

KPOVTN had more than 100 members and several dozen active helpers. Many of them did not live to see the liberation of Sevastopol. Among them was Vasily Dmitrievich Revyakin: he was arrested and after torture on March 16, 1944 was shot in Yukharina gully.

After the liberation of Sevastopol, the heroes of the Sevastopol underground were buried in a mass grave at the Memorial Cemetery of Communards. On May 8, 1965 Vasily Dmitrievich Revyakin was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously).

The name of Vasily Dmitrievich Revyakin in Sevastopol was given to a street and an educational center on the basis of school No. 16. The memory of the hero is kept by the House-Museum of the Sevastopol underground.
