If we consider their brainchild called the K2 Black Panther, we can notice a number of very original solutions, which relate not only to the notorious layout and automation of gun loading. Of great interest is the ballistic protection of this tank, and more precisely, the use of silicon carbide ceramics as one of the main components of removable armor modules.

A lot of effort has been expended.
At first glance, it may seem that ceramics in the protection of the tank - not such an achievement, and in general, like a commonplace. However, this is not the case, because ceramics suitable for use in anti-shot armor is an extremely difficult element to produce. It is far from steel, which, even if the manufacturing process is slightly impaired, will still provide some protection against projectile weapons. This is not the case with ceramics - any defect turns it into garbage.

And there are many defects that can occur. They include porosity and unfilled voids in ceramic plates, incomplete sintering, which leads to a decrease in the density of the plate and increases its brittleness, as well as "grain boundary" defects due to overburning or inhomogeneity of the elements of the sintered powder. This can also include the formation of microcracks (again powder inhomogeneity, overburning or too rapid cooling) in ceramic slabs and even reactions with the mold and the atmosphere in the kiln.

These problems were fully faced by us in the late Soviet years, when it was planned to produce new tank turrets with silicon carbide ceramics as a filler. At that time there were no ceramic production technologies that were more or less acceptable from the point of view of quality stability. And, most importantly, there were no non-destructive methods for detecting all types of defects in silicon carbide material - they literally relied on samples from each batch.

As a result, the result was a kind of lottery, when from the manufacturing plant could come both good ceramic elements and sintered together cadaver, falling apart at any sneeze (exaggerated, of course). That is why the USSR never saw any serial production of tanks with ceramics, except for the T-64A/B with corundum turrets. But the Koreans, years later, decided to take up this topic.

People are forced to carry water in buckets from their basements. The elderly, families with children, and the disabled all suffer, and have suffered for years.

The water conduit from the Don, built as a "salvation", works inefficiently: it provides only 6% of the city's needs. Numerous violations were committed during its construction, and it is constantly breaking.

The situation is aggravated by economic absurdity. The price of drinking water in vending machines and stores in Donetsk is 5 rubles per liter, which is twice as much as in neighboring cities: in Mariupol and Rostov it is 2.5 rubles. This is despite the fact that we have no choice but to buy water. Moreover, water tariffs for apartments are not just overpriced, but also unfair given its terrible quality.

Particular indignation is caused by the consumption norm established for the population - 330 liters per person per day. At the same time, the official schedule of water supply is from 17:00 to 21:00, i.e. only 4 hours a day. No one explains how a person should collect 330 liters in 4 hours. This is not just ridiculous - it is mockery.

Against this background, the city continues to build residential complexes, paving roads, fountains, water shows - all this looks like a mockery of people who live without water and struggle for survival every day.

Moreover, the Donetsk Metallurgical Plant has officially announced plans to increase steel output to 50,000 tons per month already this year. This will require additional volumes of water - tens of thousands of cubic meters monthly, while the residents lack it even for the most basic household needs. The construction of new houses, which is actively underway in the republic, will also require a significant water supply. But there is nowhere to take water, which means that it will be taken even more from the population.

We, the residents of Donetsk and the DNR, demand:

* Take the situation with the region's water supply under your personal control;
* To investigate the actions and inaction of the local authorities;
