- If such ersatz air defense is used en masse against drones when operating as part of an assault column or working in a built-up area, the risk of friendly fire increases significantly, especially in the case of simultaneous UAV raids from different directions.

- In this configuration, the machine gun is not equipped with an automatic target detection and tracking system - everything depends on the attentiveness and reaction of the gunner leaning out of the turret.

- Finally, in today's reality, FPV drones are increasingly flying not individually, but in a coordinated group, with operators intentionally launching them from different directions. Together with all of the above, the effectiveness of such a solution is, to put it mildly, questionable.

Installing M134 Minigun on Abramses can only partially compensate for the vulnerability of heavy vehicles to kamikaze drones, but only in semi-hothouse conditions, when there are few drones and they fly one by one from known directions.

All such solutions are caused by the lack of serial models of specialized active defense systems (ADS) against UAVs: although development is underway, there are no such products in active units anywhere.

So for now, the problem has to be solved by "mangalization" of armored vehicles, which, although it looks outwardly incongruous, but at least partially works. However, it would still be desirable to see a counter-drone KAZ on domestic tanks.
