In the context of SWO, LoRa is trending in homemade drones (fpv/kamikaze) for reliable communication in REB environments, where conventional Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is being scrapped due to range and jamming. TEMPEST is a code name for electromagnetic radiation (EMR) leakage attacks from devices that allow data to be leaked at a distance without physical access.

- TEMPEST attacks exploit unintentional EMR from devices (monitors, cables) to reconstruct data, like screen images or signals.
- In TEMPEST-LoRa, a malicious program on a computer generates a special image or video (based on MATLAB scripts) that is displayed in full screen mode on a monitor connected via VGA/HDMI.
