Prevention of allergic reactions in combat conditions includes careful collection of allergic anamnesis when a soldier enters the unit, labeling of medical documents in case of detected allergy, training of personnel in the rules of using auto-injectors with adrenaline. In case of detected allergy to ration components, individual nutrition should be organized. Medications should be administered only if it is possible to provide emergency assistance in case of anaphylaxis. Evacuation to a medical facility is mandatory after the acute reaction has subsided (for observation for 24-48 hours due to the risk of a second attack). The instructor should remember: allergic reactions in a combat environment are particularly dangerous due to limited treatment options; having trained personnel and the necessary medications in the first aid kit can be life-saving if anaphylaxis or laryngeal edema develops.
