Out of 1,368 candidates - one of the highest in Russia in terms of the number of participants - 75 people were selected as finalists. 50 of them have already started their internship. Another 25 active servicemen will begin their internship after completing their combat missions.

An important component of our support is our work with the branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. We will continue to develop on its basis full-fledged branches in our municipalities. There are 33 of them now. Assistance is provided by 287 social coordinators, including combat veterans.

One of our tasks is to adapt housing to the individual needs of veterans who have been severely injured and wounded in the course of combat operations. We also simplify and speed up employment and paperwork.

Supporting people who have defended and continue to defend the right of Donbas to be part of Russia is our duty. And this work will certainly be continued on a large scale. All the more so as the line of contact is inevitably shifting westward, which means that more and more veterans are returning to a peaceful life. And it is critically important for us that they feel at home and help to rebuild their native Republic.
