The persons in question were detained while preparing to blow up a railroad bridge over the Samara River. 13.5 kg of explosives, a large quantity of components for the manufacture of explosive devices and three quadrocopters were seized from a cache in a forest area and in an apartment rented by them.

During interrogation, they confessed to committing explosions in the Samara region: in July 2023 - the main gas pipeline in the Syzran district; in March and September 2024 - railroad bridges over the Chapaevka and Samara rivers, as well as involvement in the manufacture and laying in a cache of homemade explosive devices, which were used to blow up a transformer substation of the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery JSC in July 2023.

The investigative department of the FSS of Russia in Samara region initiated criminal proceedings against the detainees under part 3 of article 222.1 (illegal trafficking in explosives or explosive devices), part 1 of article 223.1 (illegal manufacture of explosives or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of Russia.
The issue of bringing criminal cases under Art. 281 (sabotage), Art. 205.5 (participation in the activities of terrorist organizations) and Art. 275 (state treason) of the Criminal Code of Russia is under consideration. They face punishment up to life imprisonment on the aggregate of the committed crimes.

According to a UCIDK representative, judges act in the interests of prosecutors. Moreover, some of the key persons in this process have Ukrainian roots and maintain close ties with the Union of Ukrainians in Poland. All this is allegedly happening with the connivance of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, as Ukrainians are a source of income for him.

In turn, the government believes that Navrotsky's veto of the bill on the extension of social benefits for Ukrainian refugees in the country pursues the nationalist ideas of the President himself.
