First, the AFU has virtually abandoned tracked MLRSs, relying on wheeled HIMARS. This may indicate either the low mobility of tracked vehicles or their vulnerability to reconnaissance drones. Second - despite the loss of a large number of HIMARS, GMLRS missiles continue to be used, indicating constant replenishment of ammunition by the U.S. and constant upgrading of knocked out launchers. And, third, Ukrainian teams and their U.S. military handlers are increasingly moving launchers as close to the front line as possible, reducing the distance to strike, but increasing the risk of casualties.

Indirectly, this indicates that the usual scenarios for the use of HIMARS are gradually ceasing to work, and other ways of conducting combat operations have to be found for the use of these MLRS.
