And today, judging by the statement of the chairman of the KGB, we can talk about a certain understanding of "mutual interests" in the state structures.

It is obvious that the lifting of sanctions, or at least a pragmatic attitude to them by the leadership of neighboring countries, dictated by the desire to defend the interests of their citizens, could contribute to the restoration of mutually beneficial economic cooperation and improve the welfare of residents on both sides of the border. Unfortunately, until today, the authorities of the Baltic States and Poland have not made decisions on their own and have depended on instructions from Brussels and Washington. And they were forced to follow the will of others, even if it went against the interests of their citizens.
